Samantha Brennan is stepping down as the administrator of the Guam Homeland Security, as recovery efforts are underway in the aftermath of Typhoon Mawar.
The governor’s office confirms Brennan submitted her letter of resignation, which goes into effect on Friday, June 2.

GHS is the base for the Joint Information Center where all the typhoon recovery updates are being discussed and disseminated.

“We thank her for her service to the people of Guam,” said Krystal Paco-San Agustin, the Governor’s Communications Director.

The reason for her sudden resignation was not disclosed, but KUAM has learned Brennan called it quits for health reasons.

Former Guam National Guard Adjutant General Esther Aguigui is now acting Homeland Security Advisor.
