Rota remains under typhoon warning, flood watch Thursday morning

Rota remains under a typhoon warning, a coastal flood warning, and a flood watch Thursday as Typhoon Mawar moves away from the Marianas.
The CNMI Homeland Security & Emergency Management Emergency Operations Center says that Rota faces "Destructive winds this morning, decreasing to very windy this afternoon. South winds 40 to 55 mph, with gusts to 75 mph this morning, decreasing to 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph in the afternoon."
For Saipan and Tinian, the 6 a.m. Zone Forecast for the CNMI also indicated that a coastal flood warning is in effect until 6 p.m. tonight and a high surf warning is in effect for southern reefs through Friday morning. Typhoon watch, tropical storm warning, and flood watch are canceled for Saipan and Tinian.
Saipan and Tinian residents today can expect "Southeast winds 25 to 35 mph. Cloudy with numerous locally heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms."
