Joey Terlaje free of all charges
Former Department of Corrections deputy director Joey Terlaje is officially free of all charges filed against him in superior court. Judge Alberto Tolentino signing the order late Wednesday dismissing Terlaje’s case with prejudice.
This means prosecutors are barred from refiling it in court. Terlaje now cleared of felonious restraint and official misconduct.
Prosecutors alleged he helping drug convict Vickilyn Teregeyo's former boyfriend, then-Yona mayor Jesse Blas restrain her against her will after an argument between the couple at a barbecue in 2017.
The court dismissed the case after multiple delays for trial, and prosecutors failed to locate Teregeyo.
