Man accused of killing doctor seeking psychologist for defense prep

The man who stands accused in the murder of Dr. Miran Ribati was back in local court today.
Akmal "AK" Khozhiev appeared before Superior Court Judge Maria Cenzon to find when his case could go to trial.
The court granted his request to use a licensed psychologist to assist in preparing for his defense.
Khozhiev was given 10 days to secure the expert witness before returning to court.
It was more than a year ago now, last November, Khozhiev allegedly stabbed and killed Ribati multiple times.
He has since undergone forensic evolutions after he pleaded not guilty by reason of mental illness or defect to aggravated murder charges.
