Speaker Therese Terlaje has introduced legislation to extend the Prugraman Ayuda Para I Taotao-ta Energy Credit Program for another five months. If passed, GPA customers will receive a $100 credit every month from December through April 2023.

The current program established by the governor expires next month. Terlaje's Bill proposes to use unappropriated general fund revenues collected in excess of the Fiscal Year 2022 adopted revenues which amounted to about $103 million. Senators have already appropriated against that amount, but the speaker says there's still about $47.5 million left.

Her bill would appropriate $26.3 million to GPA for the Energy Credit Program.
