Oceanview Middle School and FB Leon Guerrero Middle School -- those are the two campuses on the table for potential closure so they can get some much-needed repairs.

The Guam Education Board last night approved the facilities master plan that details a number of schools in need of long overdue repairs and renovations.

Board Chairperson Mark Mendiola said campuses built in the 1940s and 1950s are among the schools being eyed.

But, he says the agency will first hear from stakeholders before any major plans get going.

The education superintendent says the plans to repair the island's public schools are currently in the assessment stage, which would then be followed by a lengthy procurement process.
