Man facing assault charges after disrupting mayor's office
An unruly visit to the Asan Mayor's Office on July 25 landed 18-year-old Foreigner Emanuel in cuffs.
According to a magistrate's complaint, Emanuel became upset when he asked for a lighter at the office and wasn't given one. He allegedly harassed the office staff members, flipped trash cans over and damaged a desk after flipping it over.
When police officers arrived, Emanuel was trying to kick one of the victims. And as police tried to arrest him, Emanuel allegedly kicked one of the officers on his leg.
He was charged with two counts of Assault Against a Peace Officer, Assault, Criminal Mischief, Resisting Arrest and Public Drunkenness.
