BIOGRAPHY:

I was born and raised in Guam. Both of my parents are public school teachers. I graduated from George Washington High School in 2010, and then attended and graduated from the University of Guam with a degree in Accounting and Economics, with honors in 2015.

Upon graduation, I was hired by the American Medical Center, the largest outpatient center in Micronesia, as a staff accountant, and shortly thereafter, was promoted to the accounting manager of all three clinic locations, managing most of their financial operations. Afterwards, I transitioned into the banking industry where I worked as a commercial banker for ANZ Bank.

I am an avid powerlifter, and enjoy reading, going to the beach, watching football, and relaxing with family and friends in my free time.

PLATFORM:

Platform - Economic Development and Improvement

At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, many individuals and families did not know how they were going to pay for rent or put food on the table. Many businesses did not know how they were going to keep their doors open. It was a dangerous time. It was a terrifying time. If it were not for governmental assistance, things would have turned out much worse than they did. I attribute the dire circumstances that we were in to the fact that our economy has been reliant on one form of industry for over 50 years, and Guam was not alone in this situation as all other tourism-based economies around the world suffered the same way. For Guam, this needs to change. We need to strengthen our economy through diversification of industry so that our families can have financial stability and economic prosperity.

I plan on doing this by supporting the expansion of large-scale agriculture as well as small and mid-sized farming, fostering micro and small-scale enterprise, growing trade with our neighboring islands and other nations, and expanding business development and mentorship programs for entrepreneurs.
