150 New COVID cases reported, hospitalizations jump to 12
Another staggering jump in COVID-19 numbers as the Joint Information Center reports 150 new virus cases from 1,220 specimens collected June 23. Of the new cases, 27 were reported by the Department of Defense.
The number of hospitalizations has also increased as there are now 12 residents confined due to COVID. One is a pediatric patient and another is receiving ICU level treatment. Five are hospitalized at the Guam Memorial Hospital, four at the Guam Regional Medical City and one at U.S. Naval Hospital. Nine of the individuals confined are fully vaccinated, while three are unvaccinated. To date, there have been a total of 51,234 officially reported cases, 371 deaths, 525 cases in active isolation, and 50,338 not in active isolation.
