Twenty-one-year-old Jacob Solomon is facing charges of Strangulation, Family Violence, Kidnapping and Felonious restraint after allegedly holding a woman for hours and assaulting her.

According to court documents, the incident began at around 2 p.m. on June 17 after the victim and Solomon got into an argument. In a statement, the victim wrote she asked Solomon to drop her home. Instead, he took her to his condo, took her phone away and slapped and choked her through the evening.  He also allegedly pushed and kicked her on the ground and threatened to kill her. The victim also wrote she tried to get her phone to call for help but Solomon kept it out of reach.

Police didn't arrive at the scene until after 11 p.m. for a disturbance complaint. The victim was reportedly yelling and screaming all night for help.
