Justin Taijeron, accused of sexually assaulting minors, must find own legal counsel

35-year-old Justin James Taijeron appeared before Magistrate Judge Jonathan Quan in the Superior Court of Guam this morning. During the hearing, Judge Quan granted the Public Defender's motion to withdraw from the case. Taijeron is not eligible due to his income level.
As we reported, Taijeron is charged with four counts each of first and second degree criminal sexual conduct. He’s is accused of sexually assaulting two minor girls.The victim, 13, alleged Taijeron had assaulted her over 40 times, which started when she was 9 or 10 years old.
The second victim, a 12-year-old, claimed he sexually assaulted her from the ages of 9 and 11.
Taiejron had posted bail, which was set at $16,000.
He must now find his own attorney before his next hearing, which is scheduled for May 11 before Magistrate Judge Benjamin Sison.
