Visitors to the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation Hospital on Saipan, regardless of vaccination status, must have a negative antigen test result and are only allowed up to 10 minutes of visiting privileges for COVID-negative patients. Face masks are required.

"This policy is intended to protect our patients due to the current spread of COVID-19 in the community. Labor and Delivery, Obstetrics, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit are excluded from this visitation limit (due to breastfeeding and bonding requirements for a newborn), as well as the Emergency Department," a press release from the hospital stated.

CHCC notes that antigen results are only valid for 24-hours for unvaccinated visitors. They should plan to be tested again if their result expires.

One fully vaccinated family member or caregiver with a negative antigen test is allowed in the patient room for those who need moderate or maximum care. The hospital press release noted, "switching of caregivers will not be allowed unless approved by the attending physician, must also be vaccinated, and tested negative on antigen testing."

All patients admitted due to reasons unrelated to COVID-19  will be tested on a PCR COVID-19 testing platform on the 3rd or 5th day of admission.

The Saipan hospital visiting hours are 9 – 11 a.m. and 3 – 5 p.m.
