MMA fighter Joseph Quichocho Taimanglo, II, better known as "Baby Joe the Juggernaut" was busted early this morning on drug and gun charges.

According to court documents, around 12:10 a.m., Taimanglo was pulled over on a scooter near the Micronesia Mall for an expired tag. He began rummaging through the scooter's compartment and was told to stop.

The officer allegedly saw part of a gun and a glass pipe inside the compartment. Taimanglo allegedly denied knowing anything about the Ruger P85 pistol, which had a round chambered and ammunition inside. The glass pipe with a frosty residue and plastic baggie inside the compartment tested presumptive positive for meth.

Taimanglo alleged a man in Astumbo left the gun in the scooter. He then changed his story saying he picked up the gun from someone who dropped it after trying to rob his store. Taimanglo couldn't give details about the alleged robbery or suspect and said he didn't report it.

He also allegedly said who took hold of the drugs to prevent his cousin from using it but wanted to return it because he didn't feel right holding it. Court documents state he also told police had used meth at least one time in the past.

Taimanglo was charged with Possession of a Firearm without a Firearm ID, Illegal Possession of a Concealed Firearm and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance.
