Two officers in Hawaii died in a shooting near Diamond Head. One of those officers was originally from Guam and attended Simon Sanchez High School in Yigo.

She was identified as Tiffany Victoria Bilon Enriquez, a seven-year veteran of the Honolulu Police Department. Enriquez was one of two officers fatally shot while responding to a report of a stabbing. The other officer was identified as Kaulike Kalama

Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell said, "You know, everyday men and women in blue get up in the morning, put on their uniforms and go to work. And officers Enriquez and Kalama put on their uniforms this morning and they didn't get home."

KUAM News spoke with Enriquez's cousin, Leilani Benvante Naser, who lives in California. She says Enriquez served in the Air Force Reserves and worked in corrections before entering the police force in Honolulu.

"She was very serious about work. She was such a hustler, she dedicated everything to that I know you probably saw she was also a bodybuilder," Naser said.

In 2018 she was featured on the Maximum Muscle Report, where she competed in the NPC Pacific Island Championships Bikini Class where she was named the Heroes Champion. According to Naser, her cousin was not only passionate with her career but life in general.

"She was always the life in the party she had a really big laugh she was just always happy go lucky she liked to go out stuff like that spend time with family she had a lot of friends a lot of family," she said.

Above all else though, Enriquez was a mother to three daughters and a grandson.

"She just put everything into whatever she did," Naser said.

The suspect was identified as 69-year-old Jerry Hanel. He reportedly was upset about being evicted. When police responded to the stabbing Hanel began shooting at them. He then is accused of setting a home on fire, which in turn destroyed several others. It's believed Hanel died but his remains had not yet been located.

In a Facebook post, John Andrew Enriquez, Tiffany's ex-husband and the father of their children, said, "My heart is so broken. You are a loving mother, companion and my best friend. I know you will be watching over the girls and I love you and thank you for an amazing 17 years of marriage and 23 years of friendship.

"You know that place between sleep and awake, where you can still remember dreaming? That's where I will always love you and that's where I'll be waiting."
