After a third violation drug defendant, Justin Navarro was sentenced to 60 days in jail.

Today, he appeared for a progress hearing and Judge Anita Sukola granted him to be released on conditions.

Navarro was present during the arrest of local MMA fighter Ricky Camp, who was caught smuggling in five pounds of meth through the mail.

Judge Sukola asked Navarro why he failed to report to probation. Navarro said, "I was really going through some hard times at that time. Now I want to do better for my life and family."

The court ordered the defendant to check in to probation five times a week and enroll at the Lighthouse Recovery Center program. He is scheduled to return back in court for an update on Dec. 23.
