Closing statements Dec. 5 for man accused of molestation

The government and the defense have rested their case in defendant Nicanor A. Laudato's jury trial.


Laudato is accused of sexually molesting a minor known to him back in April 2015.

The government called up four witnesses to the stand, two of which are Guam Police Department officers Donny Pangelinan and Roy Lujan. Judge Anita Sukola granted defense counsel Samuel Teker's motion to suppress their testimony as the officers presented incomplete field notes.

Attorney Teker called up a total of six witnesses to the stand that included the parents of the minor and the defendant.
Closing statements are scheduled for December 5th.
