Edward Crisostomo enters change of plea in DOC contraband case
Another defendant in the major Department of Corrections contraband scheme entered a change of plea.
Edward Crisostomo, 33, pleaded guilty to receiving bribes as a third degree felony for an incident that occurred back in December 2016.
He also pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance as a third degree felony for an incident back in August 2017. Cristosomo told the court since the arrest, he has been in the Lighthouse Recovery program and attends Narcotic Anonymous meetings, saying that he "feels better, it's not easier but it's better."
The defendant faces a sentence of up to five years that will run concurrent with his federal case, in addition with three years of supervised release to follow. Cristosomo's sentencing, along with the various defendants is scheduled for Dec. 24
