On Saturday, police responded to the DOC Visitor Processing Center. There they spoke with a female Corrections Officer who reported that while performing a search of Sharlene Lorraine Wright, she instructed her to remove her shoes, turn them upside down, and shake them.

Court documents state when Wright did so, a medium sized blue transparent re-sealable baggie fell out and onto the ground. The content of the bag was recognized as meth. When police interviewed Wright, she stated, "It fell out of my shoe but it's not mine" and added she had no knowledge of how it got into her shoe and that she was only there to visit an inmate.

Wright was arrested for promoting major prison contraband as a 2nd degree felony and possession of a schedule II controlled substance as a 3rd degree felony.
