He said he was cleaning out a house and, and in a sense, that's what he was attempting to do.

Nov. 5, Jesse Pinuala Perez, 56, was seen exiting a home in Dededo and running into the adjacent jungle.

A witness yelled for Perez to stop and when he asked him what he was doing there, he said he was hired to clean out the residence, court documents state.

When police arrived, he told them the same story adding that he didn't know the man who hired him or the owner of the house.

Court documents state he also told police he entered the house by forcing the side door inward, looking for anything valuable he could take.

The homeowner confirmed she did not know Perez and she did not hire anyone to clean her house.

He was charged with burglary as a second degree felony.
