The 23-year old male operator of a motorcycle that crashed last night has died. According to Guam Police Department Spokesperson Sgt. Paul Tapao, at around 9:30pm, traffic investigators from GPD's Highway Patrol Division were activated to a crash that occurred on Route 4 Chalan Kanton Tasi in Hagatna.

Preliminary police reports suggests that the motorcyclist was traveling on the outer southbound lane on Route 4 Hagatna, just past McDonald's.  The motorcyclist then lost control and ran off the roadway and collided with  the guardrail. The operator was transported to the Guam Memorial Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries earlier today.

This case remains open as investigators have yet to determine if speed, alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
