Emmanuel Tagle accused of driving drunk, hitting bicyclist
Emmanuel Panganiban Apuya Tagle was allegedly drunk when he was driving in Dededo late Wednesday night striking a man riding a bicycle.
Court documents state Tagle allegedly hit the man's bicycle from behind, causing him to bounce off the hood of his vehicle. The man was thrown and sustained lacerations on his arms and legs and also complained of pain.
Police noted Tagle's eyes were very bloodshot, according to court documents, his speech was slurred and there was a strong odor of alcohol.
He agreed to a Standard Field Sobriety test and failed with a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.084%, court documents state.
He was charged with Vehicular Negligence as a Third Degree Felony,
Driving While Impaired as a Misdemeanor and Driving While Impaired (BAC) as a Misdemeanor.
