no objections from the Office of the Attorney General and Judge Michael Bordallo grants modified release conditions Mark Torre Jr.

Torre is being retried for the 2015 shooting death of fellow police officer Elbert Piolo.
As we reported two years ago he was found guilty of negligent homicide and aggravate assault, but two months ago the Supreme Court vacated the convictions.

According to the Decision and Order, Torre will remain on house arrest but will no longer have to have a third party custodian at home, only when he leaves the house. Judge Bordallo also vacated the $165,000 bail from the initial case and instead set bail at a $10,000 unsecured bond.

Torre is still ordered to stay away from his father who is a lieutenant with Guam Police Department and all potential witnesses. Although Torre is still charged with two severe violent crimes, Judge Bordallo wrote in his decision that he faced much more serious crimes when the Court first determined
