A 36-year-old man arrested and charged after he allegedly threw a chair at a woman and strangling her.

According to court documents the incident occurred at a Harmon apartment over the weekend. William Meno Perez and the woman were allegedly arguing. After the woman threw a plastic chair at the door, Perez is accused of taking the chair, throwing it back at her and hitting her face. 

He then allegedly began to strangle the wheelchair-bound victim even after she fell on the floor. He only stopped when an employee of the apartment called out from outside, court documents state. 

Perez was charged with Strangulation and Assault.
