Michael Gay admits to cops he smoked meth at his in-laws' house
It was on Thursday at around 2:15 a.m. when GPD officers conducted a traffic stop on a white Acura that didn't have a rear license plate. The driver, 30-year-old Michael James Gay, said his license plate was confiscated a month ago.
Court documents state the officer noticed Gay appeared to be nervous, sweating, grinding his teeth and had involuntary movement of his hands and head. Gay consented to a search of the vehicle during which a cigarette pack was found with an improvised glass pipe and a clear zip-lock bag containing what appeared to be residue of suspected meth.
According to court documents, Gay admitted he had just smoked "ICE" at his in-laws' residence prior to being pulled over.
He was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance as a third degree felony.
