The Guam Cannabis Control Board met and approved a short list of frequently asked questions. The list released to provide more clarity in light of the recent legalization of marijuana for adult use.

Who can use? Responsible adults, 21 years old and over.
How much can I have on me or in my vehicle? Possession is legal 1 ounce or less, or 28 grams, on my person.

Can I grow cannabis? Cultivation is allowed on private property in a completely enclosed area and must be out of public sight. You can grow a maximum of six plants but are limited to three mature flowering plants and three plants that are still in a vegetative stage.

Can I buy or sell cannabis? No. Retail or bartering is prohibited but can be gifted up to 1 ounce.

Where can I smoke? Smoking or consumption of cannabis is permitted on private property with the owner’s permission. Public consumption is prohibited and punishable by law.

Can I smoke and drive? No. Smoking under the influence of cannabis is considered impaired driving and is punishable by law.
How does this affect your job? Please see your employer’s policy regarding recreational cannabis. The Government of Guam is still a drug-free workplace.

Can I travel with it? No. Marijuana is still an illegal drug under federal law and is not allowed on federal property.

Can I import or export marijuana? No. Marijuana is still an illegal drug under federal law and cannot be mailed.
