Trump proposes $611M budget for territories & FSM

President Trump has proposed a $611 million budget for the territories and the FSM for Fiscal Year 2020.
The Interior Department announced that the money will be made available through its office of insular affairs. No specific allocations were mentioned, but the funds will be split between Guam, the CNMI, American Samoa, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. And funding will also be available to the FSM, the Marshalls and Palau.
If approved, the budget proposal includes $526 million in mandatory funding, and about $84 million in discretionary appropriations.
OIA says the money is to "strengthen economic and health capacities in the territories while also fulfilling U.S. obligations to the Freely Associated States."
