Our new baby: KUAM rolls out Apple TV app for living room streaming

We're welcoming a new addition to our family of digital applications, giving you yet another avenue to access to our content anytime, anywhere you are, on any device. We're proud to announce the KUAM News app for Apple TV, available now in the App Store for FREE for 4th-generation Apple TV set-top boxes. It's a brand new service that puts video first and foremost. We've created an app specifically for the leanback crowd, letting you watch all our stories, segments, shows and series...except now, we're able to distribute our content faster, in a richer way, to a global audience.
(That's A LOT of eyeballs.)
The Apple TV app is built to be a "press play and step away" service, perfectly suited for using while lounging on the couch or in bed, while eating, doing homework or working-out. And it comes with several helpful features:
- Voice search: thanks to tight integration with Siri in tvOS, you'll be able to discover new content and find your favorite stories from the extensive KUAM News back catalog of videos
- Synchronized installation: KUAM fans get special treatment, so if you've already installed the KUAM News mobile app for iOS, your Apple TV will automatically have the KUAM News app for Apple TV waiting for you under "Purchased Apps" in the App Store (and vice-versa if you download the Apple TV app first and then later get a new iPhone or iPad)
- Categorical content: our app auto-plays all our current videos in sequence by default, and we've also organized our clips into easy-to-navigate areas, making it easy to find exactly the piece of news you're looking for
- Lightning-fast performance: the app is super responsive and ultra quick, so there's never any waiting or buffering
- Weather: the 10-day forecasts are very detailed, updated constantly and broken down by hour, so you'll be able to find reliable projections of what the conditions will be outside

And the best part? This is just the beginning. We're also finishing similar apps for Roku and Amazon Fire set-top boxes. That's coming soon!
