Guam - It was earlier this month Guam EPA administrator Eric Palacios confirmed the agency had issued a notice of violation to a Yona man for operating an illegal dump on his property. Today Palacios confirms that the GEPA will be going to appeal and that the GEPA board has decided to pass the matter on to the attorney general's office so a hearing officer may be assigned.

"The NOV amount is at $250,000 the allege violator at this point which we intend to prove through information and evidence that we've gathered is Mr. Manny Camacho," he said.

Various types of waste was found on the site and based on the volume of waste material on the site Palacios says although they cannot determine exactly how long the dump was in operation he estimates it has been at least a couple of years.
