Pedicurist gets suspended jail sentence; 2 years probation
by Mindy Aguon
Guam - Henry Hoang was sentenced to one year at the department of corrections but that was suspended. He was ordered to be placed on probation for two years and perform 75 hours of community service. After a 7-week long trial, Hoang was convicted of 4th degree criminal sexual conduct as a misdemeanor for touching a customer while she was getting a pedicure in April of 2012.
The victim tearfully took the stand today recalling the incident saying her life will never be the same because of it. She asked that Hoang serve one year behind bars.
The court disagreed and ordered that Hoang register as a Level III Sex Offender for 15 years.
As for whether he will be able to retain his cosmetology license, the court will address that at a later time.
