EPA issues Taitano another notice of violation

Guam - It looks like massive illegal dump owner Joseph Taitano is in another mess of trouble with the Guam Environmental Protection Agency, this time for illegally clearing and grading land.
From bulldozing to other heavy equipment use and moving boulders and selling them, GEPA administrator Eric Palacios says the agency issued a notice of violation to Taitano in November, which Taitano has appealed.
As of Thursday's board meeting, Palacios says they're contacting the Attorney General's Office to request an administrative law judge be appointed for the appeal hearing.
Meanwhile, Taitano's illegal dump case will head to trial following failed attempts at settlement. As we've been reporting, this illegal dump sits just above our island's northern aquifer where we get 80% of our drinking water.
