Guam - Guam will be hosting the 54th meeting of the Association of Pacific Island Legislatures' board of directors this week, of which Speaker Judi Won Pat serves as president.  Representatives from 12 Pacific island governments will meet starting this Wednesday through Saturday at the Guam Legislature to discuss an array of issues affecting the region including economic development, governmental and cultural affairs, education, health, trade and commerce. According to Speaker Won Pat, she will be encouraging her colleagues to strengthen the role APIL plays in our region, because "it truly is a powerful body that can use its voice to make a difference for our people."
