Guam - From your first breath to your last, respiratory therapists are critical to life.

With this week marked National Respiratory Week themed Bringing Breath to Life, the Guam Memorial Hospital recognizes these individuals.

Remembering his childhood battles with asthma, GMH administrator Joseph Verga said, "We really thank these people for god's blessing of life everyday. Suffering from a respiratory ailment can be horribly, horribly frightening."

The week also promotes lung health awareness.
