Guam - Japan Airlines has expanded its presence on Guam by basing their flight crew operations and flight crew training center at the Guam International Airport. Through the program JAL cadet pilots will be trained to operate two of JAL's fleet models the B737-800 and the B767-300 utilizing Guam's fully-certified runways and facility in conformance with FAA and ICAO standards.
The opening of the training center benefits not only JAL and the airport but Guam as well.
The program will be conducted during non-peak hours in which the cadets will undergo ten-day training cycles increasing the airport operations capacity and balancing aircraft operation throughout the AmBank.
