Bills for courts, veterans have public hearings this week

It will be a busy week of roundtables and public hearings at the Guam Legislature.

Guam - It will be a busy week of roundtables and public hearings at the Guam Legislature. Starting Thursday at 9am, the Judiciary of Guam is scheduled to present a status report on the implementation of Guam's Strategic Plan.

Later at 2pm, Bill 161 - relative to establishing a Guam Veterans Court within the Judiciary Of Guam - is up for public hearing, as well as Bill 188, known as the Justice Safety Valve Act of 2013 to empower the courts of Guam to depart from applicable mandatory minimum sentences under specific conditions.

These will be followed by Bill 195 at 5pm, which seeks to establish the Infant Child's Right to Life Act.
