Guam - Japan Airlines is expanding on Guam by opening a full flight crew training center at the Guam International Airport. The strategic move will not only allow the airline to conduct quality training, but will allow them to do so at a much lower cost.
Airport executive manager Chuck Ada says the operation is mutually beneficial providing the airport a new revenue stream. GIAA notes that Japan airline cadet pilots will be trained to operate 737's and 767's at the airport during ten day training cycles that will be conducted during non-peak hours.
