A friendly basketball game Wednesday night at the Pacific Islands
University turned sour when the neighboring village youth and the
campus students got into an altercation. The university's resident
manager sustained minor injuries and a report was filed with GPD.
Although GPD was called to respond the incident, according to Dr. Sam
Mabini, the university's academic VP, GPD units did not show up.

Mabini says they have since been in contact with GPD and are working
with the department to identify ways to deter incidences such as this
from happening in the future. GPD meanwhile says it is looking into
the incident.
