Guam - The Guam Waterworks Authority now reports that water should be fully restored to several southern villages by 6:00pm on Monday. Water has been out to several southern villages because heavy rains have caused turbidity problems at the Ugum Water Treatment Plant. Villages and areas that have little to no water pressure include parts of Mangilao, Yona, Cross Island Road  and Apra Heights, Merizo and Umatac. GWA Spokesperson Heidi Ballendorf cautions however upper elevations of these areas may still experience water pressure problems even after 6:00pm Monday as GWA fills reservoirs and customers in the lower areas use water too quickly. GWA is asking people to use water wisely as it restores a fragile system.  As a result of the water problem St. Francis School in Yona will be closed on Monday.
