Judge seeks clarification before ruling on reconsideration
by Mindy Aguon
Guam - District Court Chief Judge Frances Tydingco Gatewood wants more information about the governor's legal counsel and her latest appearance in the Ordot consent decree case. Attorney Sandra Miller filed a motion for reconsideration asking the court to consider allowing the Cabot Mantanona law firm to represent the government in the case not solely for the Layon condemnation judgment issue, which the court already approved.
Additionally the court questions if miller has a conflict since she previously worked as an assistant attorney general and filed numerous weekly reports to the court in the case. The court wants clarification on several issues ordering the Attorney General's Office to issue a few responses as well as the federal government.
