Guam - The attorney general has agreed to stay the local cases against Eric Tedtaotao until his federal case is resolved in the District Court. The former Department of Corrections officer faces illegal drug possession charges in the Superior Court but his case has been stayed pending his trial in federal court which is set for next month.

The presiding judge meanwhile had concerns that several defendants who have federal cases including Tedtaotao did not appear in court despite writs ordering them to do so. The judge ordered the Attorney General's Office to find out why the U.S. Marshals are not complying warning that they may be subpoenaed to answer to the court if it happens again.

Another hearing has been scheduled for Tedtaotao for May 14.
