Furlough notices for federal staffers put off
Guam - Furlough notices that were supposed to go out to federal employees as a result of sequestration will be put off. Pentagon officials made the announcement today after the House of Representatives passed a stopgap spending measure to keep the government funded through the end of September, averting a government shutdown.
The Pentagon has decided to hold off on the furlough notices to its civilian employees until they've had a chance to analyze how the measure will affect the Defense Department. Officials however estimate that furlough notices will go out on or about April 5.
