Guam - It was last week when senators from the 31st Guam Legislature along with their staff received their accrued annual leave paychecks totaling close to $431,000. Now according to Mayors Council of Guam executive director Angel Sablan, he estimates the island's mayors and their staff from the last term to be receiving around $600,000.

"Some are already being paid but as far as the final figure, it's not a one-time thing as DOA only works on it as they get the GG1s when everyone is completed and we'll get the final figure as to how much that cost us," he explained.

He adds all the outgoing mayors and their staff have already been paid their accrued annual leave whereas the mayors who were reelected and their staff should be paid in about two weeks.
