Guam - A high-ranking official with the U.S. Transportation in the Department of Defense paid the Port Authority of Guam a visit this morning for a briefing with military officials. Committee on Transportation chair Senator Tom Ada tells KUAM News that General William Frasier along with officials from Andersen Air Force Base, Joint Region Marianas Command and Naval Base Guam gave a briefing to management and then went on a tour of the port.

And while he's unsure of the reason behind the visit, Ada says it's relevant because the Port plays a key role in the movement of logistics waterborn and it would be fitting to see the existing conditions that are being improved, considering the DOD has contributed millions to the port modernization.

Frasier leaves Guam tomorrow.
