Guam - The Guahan Academy Charter School anticipates opening doors sometime this week. Although they have yet to announce a location for the school, spokesperson Therese Arroyo-Matanane says they're working to ensure the building comes into compliance with all the necessary regulatory agencies.

The Guahan Academy Charter School is the first charter school to be approved by the Guam Academy Charter School Council two years ago. The school has struggled to identify a location due to shortfall in budget as the Guam Legislature only approved $5,500 per pupil, which is a thousand less than what they originally requested.
