Injured Hiker Rescued

A team effort between the Guam Fire Department, HSC-25 and the members of the Coast Guard rescued an injured hiker this afternoon at Sigua Falls.

Guam - It was a team effort between the Guam Fire Department, HSC-25 and the members of the Coast Guard who rescued an injured hiker this afternoon at Sigua Falls.

According to a press release a hiker sustained a head injury while on the Upper Sigua Falls trail this afternoon.

Land crews from Guam Fire Rescue hiked in from Channel 10 tower and Leo Palace to find the injured hiker while the Coast Guard coordinated with HSC-25 in the air.

A medical team was hoisted down to provide medical care. GFD in the meantime arrived on scene and will transport the hiker back to safety. The victim is said to be in stable condition at this time.
