Guam - Earlier this month Minority Leader Frank Blas, Jr. wrote to Assistant Secretary of Insular Affairs Tony Babauta, requesting for the 2012 report to Congress on the impacts of Compacts of Free Association. After initially responding that his office never received any comments or reports from the affected jurisdiction governors, including Guam, his office was able to find it.

"But in the meantime, we do understand the importance of the issue, there's no questions that it is a priority for the Department of the Interior and for my office, so we did forward it to Congress," said Babauta.

The senator meanwhile has responded, saying its comforting knowing that despite the contention that the interior did not have Guam's 2012 Compact impact report, that it was in fact received and that it will be made available soon to Congress.
