Bio:
Tina is the daughter of Ana Anderson Atoigue Muña and the late William Pereira "Bill" Muña. She has eight siblings, including an identical twin sister, Donna. Tina is married to Jacob Cruz Barnes and they are proud parents of Tiffany Rose, Jacob "Coby", Jathan Ryan and reared daughter, Minna. Tina and Jacob have four grandchildren - Tiarra, Kristian Jacob, Kristiana Linette, and Gabriel.
A daughter of Guam, Tina is committed to public service and remains an active member of a variety of community service organizations including Soroptimist International of Guam, Sanctuary, Inc., Sunrise Rotary, Infant of Prague, Guma Mami, The Bill Muña Foundation, Miss Earth Guam and The Salvation Army. For almost 15 years, Tina worked tirelessly at the Public Defender's office where she helped thousands of families who were unable to afford legal assistance. Tina was also appointed and served as Deputy Director of the Department of Integrated Services for Individuals with Disabilities (DISID), an umbrella organization to handle the needs of Guam's disabled community. She served in the 27th, 29th & 30th Guam Legislatures as Legislative Secretary and continues to serve I Mina'trentai Unu Na Liheslaturan Guåhan as Senator, Legislative Secretary, Chairperson of the Committee on Municipal Affairs, Tourism, Housing and Recreation and Vice Chairperson of the Committee on Youth, Cultural Affairs, Procurement, General Government Operations and Public Broadcasting.
As an athlete who has represented Guam in the South Pacific, Oceania and Masters Pan Pacific Games, Tina served as Basketball Tournament Director for the '94 Micronesian Games and Board member of the SPG Commission before becoming its Executive Director. She was responsible for opening the office and preparing for the 1999 South Pacific Games on Guam and as the current President of the Guam Women's Masters Basketball Association (GWMBA), Tina continues to be a strong advocate for sports, health and wellness, especially for women and girls. Always a champion for the people of Guam, Tina continues to create policies which protect our environment, our children and our families. Tina works hard to promote health and wellness, increase affordable housing and raise support for our village mayors, education, tourism and various other issues. As a wife and mother, Tina continues to put the families of Guam first and works hard to ensure the best for our island and its people.
