IA investigation looks into use of force

Guam - Mobile video obtained by KUAM News of a riot at The Globe, has caught the attention of the Guam Police Department and here's why. One particular clip shows a police officer holding a male individual down on the ground. The officer then reaches for his baton and hits him on his head.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Mike Aguon says the video raises some questions as to whether that was necessary and as a result an internal affairs investigation is underway. The police department is also asking witnesses to come forward. "We are going to do everything we can to identify what happened because it can work both ways, it could sustain the allegation of the officer or it can relieve him of that allegation so of course the more evidence we receive from everyone else, whether it be witnesses or victims we are more than happy to take them," he said.
