Guam - Despite previous reports that the Department of Education Chamorro language division was overstaffed, DOE personnel say otherwise. Chamorro language administrator Ronald Laguana told KUAM News, "According to Personnel Services Division, there are 15 vacancies in the elementary and 10 vacancies in the secondary [sic]. I don't know where those numbers are coming from however if you could speak to the school principals, the school principals will justify the need in their respective schools," he said.

There are currently 133 Chamorro language teachers to cater to over 30,000 public school students. Visit www.gdoe.net  to view job openings and download an application.
