Guam - The Guam Community College's Rosemary Loveridge, RN, has been named Emergency Medical Services Advocate of the Year by the DPHSS Emergency Medical Services Commission. Acting Guam Fire Department Chief John Wusstig presented Loveridge with her award Wednesday at the Agana Shopping Center, where GFD and other agencies have set up displays to celebrate EMS Week. Loveridge was instrumental in organizing the training and skills testing of over 100 local and federal firefighters at GCC in April and earlier this month in order for them to become nationally certified Emergency Medical Technicians.

Also honored were firemen, Lt. Tomas Fegurgur, for earning his EMT Intermediate designation, and Lt. Dean Aigamaua, for EMT Basic.
