GFD hopeful for end-of-month bid

Guam - The Guam Police and Guam Fire Departments took on questions from senators this afternoon about the operations at the E911 Center and when exactly the a new system would be procured to replace the current outdated system. Senator Aline Yamashita said, "Ii seems to me that we've known the 911 systems has been in need of some 911 attention and we're still determine a package what the stumbling blocks, is it procurement? As far as getting to a really effective and efficient system so that when anybody needs you, you're on it?"
Fire Chief Joey San Nicolas said he hoped to have the bid package approved and ready to be sent down to the General Services Agency by the end of the month.
